The Filter and Stones carry the Claesz name because Dutch still life master painter Willem Claesz Heda often included the artifact in his paintings.
Since the centennial celebration in 1992, Chaté has expanded globally with storefronts now in 15 countries and available in duty-free stores in 52 countries.
The Claesz filter transitioned from serving device to an industrial mechanism, both through the mechanized production of the filter, as well as, as an industrial tool for soap making. It would only be a few short years ago that the filter would return as a consumer product, but now are produced to enhance the experience of our Chaté products.
